Sitebuilder makes it easy
What might even be cooler is the ability to add custom buttons.

Fiddled with a pretty slick tool over the past few days called ASP Chart from http://www.advsofteng.com. I've worked with it before but had an especially interesting challenge to consider. That of attaching some basic meterics to the project tracking system I have spent three weeks producing and several additional weeks tweaking and adding features. This new feature is to make a very basic reporting tool that allows simple montly meterics to be reported graphically as well as current updates from project managers.
A big but critical step in this process is to make sure we write this to work with the existing code base but isolate certain functionality to individual domains that run the same code base. In otherwords the code will "morph" based on it.ccg versus exec.ccg versus RandD.ccg. Some experimentation will be necessary to find the best way, but I think the approach of generating the forms with codecharge then embedding them on the page, with an if-then statement to toggle their display will work. |
